Step into a world of pure imagination! Columbia Children's Theatre is thrilled to announce auditions for our summer production of Roald Dahl’s Willy Wonka! This larger-than-life musical brings the beloved story to the stage with catchy songs, whimsical characters, and plenty of sweet surprises. From the eccentric Willy Wonka to the mischievous Oompa Loompas, every role is packed with fun and energy—making this the perfect show for young performers to shine.

Auditions are open to rising 1st-12th graders, and no experience is necessary—just bring your enthusiasm and love for performing! Whether you dream of belting out show-stopping tunes, stepping into a wacky character, or being part of a vibrant ensemble, this show has a place for everyone. Registration opens for auditions on March 31st, 2025 so be sure to save the date!

Auditions: What You Need to Know

When can I register?: Registration for auditions will open on March 31st, 2025

Who: Actors in grades 1-12 (24-25 school year).

When: Auditions will be May 9, 10, and 11, 2025.

Where: The Brookland Lakeview Empowerment Center in West Columbia: 1218 Batchelor St, West Columbia, SC 29169

Pricing

There is no cast to audition, but participating young performers are required to pay a $125 participation fee by the first rehearsal in order to join us for Roald Dahl's Willy Wonka.
