A Letter from CCT Artistic Direct Jerry Stevenson

CCT Community,

I’m reaching out with an urgent message about the future of Columbia Children’s Theatre.

Last year, the closure of Richland Mall left CCT without a home. This unexpected blow required us to find a new space quickly, bringing unforeseen financial challenges. Still recovering from the impact of COVID - the effects were significant.

Although we’ve taken significant steps to restructure the organization and strengthen our financial footing, the costs of this transition have placed us in a critical position.

Columbia Children’s Theatre must raise $50,000 by January 1st to continue bringing theatre magic to children and families in our community. Without these funds, the future of CCT is uncertain.

Let me reassure you that our current programming commitments, including ticketed performances, classes, and field trips, will be honored. Our immediate goal is to ensure we can complete our 20th season while building a foundation that will allow CCT to thrive long-term.

Here are three ways you can help CCT during this pivotal time:

For 20 years, CCT has inspired thousands of young people, opening doors to creativity, confidence, and connection through the power of theatre.

If you believe in the impact of our work, now is the time to lend your support. You can make your gift here.

Make A Gift

Thank you for helping us keep CCT’s lights on for the next generation.

With gratitude,

Jerry Stevenson

Artistic Director
